Knoxville Urban BioBlitz

This BioBlitz will take place in Knoxville on Saturday, August 22 from 10am until 6pm. It is being held at High Point Park on Cherokee Trail in Knoxville. You can register for the event at the link below. Also take a look at the article published in the Knoxville News Sentinel about the event.

Biodiversity Hike & Overnight @ LeConte Lodge

September 4-5. Experience a guided hike up to the summit of Mt. LeConte. Lunch is provided trailside on the way up. Dinner is served at the lodge Friday eveneing. There will be an evening sunset program at CliffTops and breakfast will be served Saturday morning before we hike down. Lunch is also provided for the hike down on Saturday for those that need it. A DLIA parting gift will be supplied to all participants. This is an amazing adventure and support a great cause. It is $275/person. Reserve your space today.

The Great Smoky Mountains Salamander Ball

The Purpose of the Ball

If you’ve ever marveled at the depth, breadth, or beauty of wildlife in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, you are invited to one of the region’s premiere fundraising events that directly supports conservation and science. This family friendly evening encourages you to dress as your favorite Smokies critter and join the staff and board of Discover Life in America (and a few surprise guests!) to celebrate the wondrous biodiversity in GSMNP. This event is for adults and children of all ages!

Last, but not least, we are delighted that we could partner with the Knoxville Zoo to hold this event at their great facilities. Please come early and take some time to visit the zoo's wonder-filled exhibits!
