Appearance: Yellow to brown with dark blotches. They can reach 8 inches in length.
Habitat: In the park, they can be found in Lower Abrams Creek at the embayment.
Interesting Fact: During breeding the female of this species circles the nest and periodically thumps the male on his side while simultaneously extruding eggs. It is assumed that he deposits milt at this time also.
