Appearance: Dark greenish sort of color on its back with green on its sides and white on its belly. Speckles form verticle bars down the sides of its body, and the fins are also heavily speckled. It can grow up to 20 inches in length.
Interesting Fact: During early spring spawning season, a female white crappie may lay up to 213,000 eggs in a weakly defined nest on the floor of a reservoir.
Habitat: Reservoirs and lakes.
