This is a large family of frogs. World-wide they include over 450 species. They are relatively small reaching a maximum length between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 inches. They include tree frogs, cricket frogs, and chorus frogs. They are generally long-legged and slim-waisted frogs, with the larger individuals of each species being female.
