Wells Holbrook of Team BUSAR (Backcountry Unit Search & Rescue) will present on the volunteers’ role in rescuing lost and injured persons in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He’ll include tips and insights on avoiding disaster during your wilderness travels. Wells has quite the resume: Air Force survival instructor, wilderness EMT/physician assistant, and SAR responder! He likes to encourage safe exploration and interaction with the outdoors and can share knowledge that will help you survive when things go awry.
