This is a list of species in Great Smoky Mountains National Park that are threatened, endangered, rare, or that park management otherwise considers to be susceptible to poaching or other exploitation.
Permitted researchers working in the Smokies are required to keep the specific location of sensitive park resources confidential, including those of threatened, endangered, and rare species. See: General Conditions for Scientific Research and Collecting Permit.
DLiA is working with GSMNP park management and iNaturalist to automatically obscure location information within observations of these listed species from public view.
