Discover Life in America (DLiA) is the nonprofit partner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, leading the effort to document life in the park, while raising awareness of biodiversity’s vital role in conservation in the natural world.
Since 1998, Discover Life in America has been connecting scientists, park partners, educators and volunteers to explore biodiversity, spark curiosity and deepen people’s connection to the natural world through discovery and learning.
By documenting biodiversity and developing scalable research systems, Discover Life in America strengthens conservation efforts, expands access to scientific discovery, and supports ecosystem protection in the Smokies and beyond.
